• All members of the Alpha Mu Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® must attend a college/university that is on the chapter’s Charter and recognized as such by the sorority’s Corporate Office. The colleges/universities on the Charter are: Fordham University- Rosehill Campus, John Jay College of Criminal Justice, Long Island University, Medgar Evers College, Brooklyn College, and New York University Tandon School of Engineering.

• Prospective members of the Alpha Mu Chapter must be a matriculating full-time student at the school where the campus chapter is located, seeking to earn a bachelor’s degree, which is to be completed within six years of entering an undergraduate program of study.

• A prospective member must have completed one grading period at a school on the charter of where she currently attends.

• A prospective member must have a cumulative grade point average of C+ and the semester average of C+ as determined by their college; which must be verified by an official transcript.

• All prospective members must bring to the official Rush a letter of interest, two letters of reference, one or more completed evidence of community/campus involvement forms, a completed Undergraduate Membership Interest Application and an official statement from the office of the Registrar attesting that they are a full time student (a minimum of 12 credits) and a sealed transcript, embossed with university or college’s seal.
